"a 500 series lunchbox w/ some nice pres, eqs an compressors!"

i hear great things about the avedis E27 eq's. also, brent averil has the cheaper 500 series racks. so many choices w/the 500 series now.

I think my ideal 500 rack would be:

2 avedis eq's
2 great river np1-nv's

and if the rumors are true...

2 distressors (fingers crossed).

and if there was room, maybe another 1 space pre w/ a nice d.i. (purple?)

Thanks man! I'm very happy with it. It's nice to finally find the right gear and just worry about making music...

I used the API 2500 a lot in a studio I used to work at, Nils. It is fantastic, imo. Very versatile. High quality like everything else API makes. It's awesome on the mix buss, but also on any stereo source. It can be very transparent, really nice. But it can also slam with the different thrust settings. Can't go wrong with it, imo.

I'd rather have my stereo Distressors, but my next choice would be the 2500.

Well now I really want one, hehe. What do you prefer about the distressors?
